South End Art Hop 2018 will take place September 7 – 9th this year and we can’t wait to show your work!

The S.P.A.C.E. Gallery is always thrilled to host exhibitions where every artist who applies may showcase pieces that they are proud of or exemplifies their specific style! The South End Art Hop is THE best time to get your art out to the public. At The Space Gallery, we host thousands of visitors over the three day event and keep the work open to the public for the entire month of September! The Space Gallery and The Soda Plant hallways fill up, nearly floor to ceiling, with the best local artwork for sale. Last year, we sold at least one piece by one out of every two artists that chose to show on our walls!

You may also decide to become an annual gallery member when you register for Art Hop, discounted from $45 to $40 and it includes discounts on future group exhibition fees, inclusion in the annual May Members Show, advice or art critiques by appointment during gallery hours, ability to pitch group or solo shows, promotion on our website and in social media as applicable, and invites to various creative opportunities. Enjoy and keep up the great work!

2018 Members Show Call to Artists

The Space Gallery is built on ideals of being accessible; to artists and viewers alike. For us, this means that you may show your artwork regardless of your age, medium, and experience in the arts. Everyone needs a first gallery exhibition and we have seen artists go on to New York City, Chicago, or stay right here in Vermont, fulfilling their dreams of becoming a full time artist and making a living at it. For all of May, Space Gallery Members showcase a piece of artwork that they are proud of, is new for them, or best exemplifies their specific style. Whether you have shown work countless times or never before, we can’t wait to see it!

New Member Jessie Polk, Theory of Relativity, sculptural encaustic

To the viewer; accessibility to us means that someone may visit the gallery who may not have been in a formal exhibition setting before and ask any question and feel comfortable doing so. Artists may walk in as well with questions about how to show or price work, and receive advice or critiques on their portfolio. We take pride in showing artwork and will always do so professionally. Thank you for your support!

Artist Member Brendan Bush, Untitled Abstract, acrylic
