The S.P.A.C.E. Gallery features submissions of artwork from current and new members, with over 70 pieces to enjoy! Artist members show off one piece that they are proud of, represents their personal style, or is something new they are trying. First Friday Art Walk, June 3 from 5-8pm also serves as an artist mixer, regardless if you are in the show or not! It’s a great way to get out and enjoy the warmer weather, while connecting with new and old creative friends. We are looking forward to many more days of connections, see you tonight or any Friday & Saturday from 12-5pm through June.

The S.P.A.C.E. Gallery is thrilled to host a membership program for artists of all ages working in any medium! As we turn 13 this fall, we are humbled by the amount of creative talent that has entered our gallery doors, thank you for your support!
Membership is a flat $45 and it includes a whole host of benefits; discounts on group exhibition fees such as the South End Art Hop (and first dibs to show!), inclusion in the Member Exhibition, advice or art critiques by appointment during gallery hours, promotion on our website and in social media as applicable, and invites to various creative opportunities!

April 1 – May 21, 2022 The Art of Deception featuring work by 50+ local artists!
Artists have been prompted to create and show work out of the ordinary that may trick the viewer this April Fool’s Day! ‘Fool Me Once’ features one piece by each artist who created work utilizing a different medium than they are used to, made with a non-dominant hand, shows off mind altering content, or was entered under a false name! All is fair game and the only thing you can expect in this exhibition is the unexpected.

‘Fool Me Once’ is an exhibition that seeks artwork out of the ordinary! Create in a medium you have never shown before, make work with your non-dominant hand, trick us with how the work is perceived, or enter under a fake artist name!It is all fair game.
Call to Artists is open to any artist, of any age, working in any medium. Artists may submit one piece each. This is a non-juried show, all work will be displayed!

Each artist was prompted to bring up to three pieces, regardless of content or medium, that represents their personal style. The result is a wide range of perspectives in materials ranging from fiber, metal, wood, oil painting, collage and more. This summer long members exhibition has something for everyone in accessible price ranges that allow you to have fun while you support local arts!

‘Holding Pattern’ Installation by Christy Mitchell June 11 – August 7, 2021

Set in an early 20th century Victorian style home, ‘Holding Pattern’ imagines conversations and changes to everyday life experienced over many decades and family dynamics. If these walls could talk about the things that we say and what we hide from the public, what would they tell us? Christy Mitchell combines artifacts from the past to tell stories about modern day topics that have affected her, but are also universal. As we are collectively released from the holding pattern of the last year, a critical eye must be trained on what we will take with us and what should be left behind.
