February Exhibition: ‘All the Feels’

All the Feels

February 1 – 23, 2019

Opening Reception, First Friday, February 1

In Background; ‘Awe’ by Jeremy Goldberg

So how does that make you feel? Art has the ability to bring on strong emotions in the viewer. In Florence, Italy there have been so many known cases of visitors fainting due to the overwhelming concentration of extraordinary works of art, that there is even a name for it, the Stendhal or Florence syndrome. This February, The Space Gallery aims to strike you with a bit of cupid’s arrow causing a rapid heart rate, a sense of awe, and falling in love with works of art that express their feelings in a multitude of ways.

Artists were encouraged to showcase work that was created with emotion, where the content of the piece itself exudes emotion, or if the goal of the piece was to elicit an emotional response in the viewer. See for yourself if you can interpret the original intention. In many cases, there is more than meets the eye, and it simply must be felt.
