Solo Installation by Christy Mitchell

June 11 – August 7, 2021

Opening Reception: Friday, June 11 from 6pm – 9pm

Set in an early 20th century Victorian style home, ‘Holding Pattern’ imagines conversations and changes to everyday life experienced over many decades and family dynamics. If these walls could talk about the things that we say and what we hide from the public, what would they tell us? Christy Mitchell combines artifacts from the past to tell stories about modern day topics that have affected her personally, but are also universal. As we are collectively released from the holding pattern of the last year, a critical eye must be trained on what we will take with us and what should be left behind.
